I bought this because I wanted toned watercolor paper, since it can help you create texture for free by having the paper color showing through, if your gouache is a bit watered down. This one worked really well, only two complaints I have is that it's only 260gsm instead of the usual 300, and it also contains white and black colors, which can be found elsewhere. I rather have more choices of colors: a range of pastels, a range of neutral/muted colors, and a range of primaries. Basically, if we can assume 12 colors per range, 3 sheets per color, that would be 3 pads of 36 sheets, 48 colors overall (again, assuming white and black are available separately as different products). I hope Arteza provides us with that, because currently, there are no options on the market. The few toned paper options online are mixed media-focused, and no real watercolor papers, and they still don't contain the whole range of colors. Gouache is becoming more popular in the last 4 years, and metallic watercolors are opaque enough to be visible on such papers, so there's definitely a new market for such products. I hope Arteza listens!

Gift for grandchild who like to paint and sketch.

Creo que es un poco caro, pero realmente, cuesta encontrar papel de acuarela que no sea blanco o excepcionalmente negro. Me gusta mucho poder disponer de papel en diferentes colores de fondo. Gramaje y calidad excepcionales.

Arteza makes really nice watercolor sheets, and these are no exception. The white paper is pretty standard, and the black sheet held up wonderfully for a Pearlescent watercolor painting. I'm excited to try out the middle colors and see how they impact the colors and tone of the painting.

This paper is perfect for beginners or anyone. I love the thickness and it absorbs water nicely. The different colored paper are really neat and It really makes my artwork pop. I love trying out new supplies and this did not dissapoint!

I mainly use this for watercolours, but can be used with pencils, and other media too. Absorbent and great quality. The metallic watercolours look great on the darker shades of paper. Will definitely purchase again!

I love the paper with gel pens! It’s think and doesn’t bleed through. The quality is outstanding! Definitely my new go to paper for my art. Great for beginners and professionals

So I like the idea of having an album with a few colors of watercolor paper. However was upset that the bottom right corners were bended (warped). On some pages it was a bit more visible than others, would not work if you planned to sell your artworks. I am not sure it is possible to straigten completely but say one can perhaps cut off that part and use it for scrap paper and swatches.All paper except for medium gray has the rippled texture like a typical cold press watercolor paper would have. I especially liked by look the deep black colored paper. Medium gray was a bit smoother, perhaps can be used for mixed media also.I am a beginner at arts, once I try it will update the review. and once I get my metallic watercolors will compare the black paper to Canson's black mixed media paper.Update: tried to straighten the corners but because the paper does look bended it did not really help :(.

Los colores son: Blanco, blanco crema, gris claro, gris y negro (Tenemos 5 hojas de cada color).Es raro que el tamaño no sea el estándar “A4” es un poco más grande, los colores de las hojas son bastante acertados y bien individualizados. Particularmente el tono gris es el que más me ha gustado. Viendo el gramaje de las hojas son totalmente recomendables para acuarelas, ya que son muy resistentes.Están sujetadas en la parte superior por una fina capa de cola bastante resistente a los pliegues, no obstante, son fáciles de extraerlas del bloc. No me importa pagar más cuando se trata de calidad, pero una cosa es vender a un precio caro y otra muy distinta es inflar el precio.

Es handelt sich bei diesem Arteza-Block zwar um einen Aquarellfarbblock in sehr guter Qualität - aber ihn nur als „normalen“ Block zu benutzen wird den Möglichkeiten des farbigen Papiers nicht gerecht.Auf den heller gefärbten Blättern kann man durchaus mit normalen Aquarellfarben malen und hat dann noch die Möglichkeit, helle Highlights zu setzen und ähnlich wie bei Rötel oder Pastellkreide dadurch dramatische Effekte zu erzielen. Das gibt bei dem durchgefärbten Papier nochmal einen deutlich hochwertigeren Effekt als bei weißem Papier. Auf dem schwarzen Papier kann man mit Gelstiften, weißer Tusche und anderen Spezialfarben interessante Effekte erzielen, was vor allem für das Handlettering sehr interessant ist.Die hellen Aquarellpapier-Blätter haben eine leicht strukturierte Oberfläche und lassen sich gut bemalen und auch Farbflächen verwaschen und Übergänge gestalten. Auch mit feinen Tuschemarkern (ich habe solche von Faber-Castell mit „Inda Ink“) lassen sich Zeichnungen mit klaren Linien akzentuieren und sogar übermalen ohne zu verschmieren. Diesen Block kann man gut verschenken weil es ein sehr gutes Papier ist, das durch die ungewöhnliche Farbgebung viele Möglichkeiten zur kreativen Bildgestaltung ermöglicht. Damit kann man wirklich jedem Hobbykünstler oder Profi eine Freude bereiten - und sich selbst natürlich auch.
