I received this quickly and it was packaged well.We wanted something like this one to use in the family room where it would fit in better with the decor.I opened it and began using it as soon as I received it. It arrives with instructions, the power cord, and a small pitcher to fill the basin.You will notice by my photo how well it is packaged within it's own case -- lots of foam surrounding all the parts.When I pulled the main diffuser out of the carton, it was perfect. No scratches or flaws anywhere.The wood-look surface is smooth and sleek with a flat (not glossy) appearance.I filled the device with water up to the max line (see photo). For a good result, never go over the max line on these devices.I put some essential oil into the basin of water, plugged it in and turned it on.It has a very nice button at the bottom that is hardly noticeable because it us made of the same material as the device surface.Push the right side once to turn on high, push the right side twice to turn on low, and push it a third time to turn off the device.When you push in the left side of the button the light comes on and there is a variety of colors that circulate. If you push the left side of the button again you can make one particular color static, and if you push it again you will turn the light off.The diffuser perfect great and immediately began emitting cool steam with the wonderful smell of the oil we selected. Within just a few minutes the entire room smelled wonderful.There is almost no sound associated with the device except once in a while you hear a gentle soft sound of water, which is actually nice.I purchased these at a discounted but I am not rewarded or penalized for the content of any independent review that I may or may not choose to write.

First off, let me say, this thing is BIG! I know it probably indicates the product dimensions but I didn't really look at that - I was just going by the volume for the item.Mind you, that isn't a bad thing; I was just surprised by it.I have another faux-woodgrain diffuser that I use in the bedroom but it is smaller so it isn't really suitable for a large space (namely, my open kitchen/living room area) so I really wanted a diffuser that could give coverage to a larger, unenclosed space. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and found that this really fit the bill!This does not have an intermittent setting (which would be nice) but it has a high and low mist setting (the low setting sort of accomplishes the same thing as intermittent). The high setting really puts out a lot of mist and gets the room scented very quickly but, even the low mist is really sufficient for me (and it lasts longer that way).Though it doesn't have a tiny footprint (I'm not talking the size of a mixing bowl but it is probably the size of a salad plate, albeit oval), it is a very sleek design.There is no latch or notch, the top just comes right off, which was a little confusing at first because I expected that. The top really does come straight off, without really tugging on it but the lack of notch makes it a teensy bit difficult to grasp it at first. I'm getting the hang of it and that isn't really a big deal.Again, the output is pretty generous.And, the buttons are easy to operate and are in the front (but are the same wood grain) so they are easier to access than on my other unit. One button selects high or low mist and the other operates the lights - you can operate it with rotating color, no color or - a really cool feature - wait till it gets to just the right shade and select the light button again and it will freeze it on that color. So the color setting is very customizable.This has already found its permanent new home on the edge of my island so I can diffuse in the kitchen/living room area.So far, I'm very pleased with this diffuser. I admit that I haven't used it extensively so, if something changes, I'll update accordingly.Additionally, and not for nothing, this was packaged very well. This item arrived quickly and was packaged very well. Most of the DEF users I have received are in a cardboard box and wrapped in a thin plastic bag. This diffuser was also in a heavyweight cardboard box and had foam padding around it. This is the first diffuser I have received that is flat and oval-shaped. It is very nice looking and works very well. The main feature are look for is how strong the mist comes out and this Duffys or puts out a strong mist. It is very easy to use and I like the colors that come through the middle part of it. It is a tad bit larger than my other diffusers holding 350 ml. As with my other diffusers, it has the automatic shut off feature when it is out of water. as much as I like this diffuser I think I'm going to give it to a friends daughter for a housewarming gift. I would definitely recommend this diffuser to friends and family and would buy this one for myself also. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest unbiased opinion.

Great diffuser! One of the largest ML diffusers I own. It is a nice shape and size, well built too. Compared to other diffusers this one runs longer for those of you who would like to keep it going for a while. It is one of my favorite diffusers! I own about 3!
