## Description

This Honeywell 5101 Small Steel Security Safe features a 7.7 litre storage capacity, mounting down capabilities, concealed hinges and recessed door for prying resistance and a solid steel cabinet and door design. This safe has a scratch resistant powder coat finish. The lock type is a programmable digital lock and there is an emergency override key access. The Honeywell safe product line provides safety and security for your essential documents and most valuable possessions while affording you the peace of mind that comes from being prepared in the event of a disaster, fire, or an invasion of your home or office. This particular model is perfect to lock up prescription medications for safety, or hold your passport and any other important papers. The safe weighs 6 kilos. The outside dimensions are 20.1 x 31 x 20.6. The inside dimensions are 19.7 x 30.2 x 13cm. Four (4) AA batteries required and included. Backed up by a 7 year limited warranty.

Review: Do not buy - This is a horrible product. It won’t even program properly. I followed the instructions to a T and still does not work. Made several attempts to contact seller with no response. Total waste of money.
Review: Perfect Little Safe - The safe was exactly what i was looking for. The combination is easy to set and works every time. The batteries have lasted so far, even in the freezing temperatures of my car. the inside i thought needed a little more padding, which just required some old sheets and a hot glue gun. the back-up key is neatly hidden. nothing more to say. I'm happy! UPDATE: After months of heavy use (constantly opening and closing it/it being tossed around in my car) the product has held up really well. The only issue I have is with the battery compartment. Its located on the door and the piece of plastic which holds it in is pathetic. This issue is easily solved with duct tape! The only other issue, which is minor, is that the "ready" light is never on anymore and the "battery low" light is always on, even after new batteries. Again this is not a big issue as i change the batteries regularly. still leaving 5 stars because i have put the safe through "way above average" abuse and it has held up better than i thought it would.

**Q: Is this safe fireproof?**
A: I bought this safe awhile back, and I don't receive the inclination that it's fireproof. If it was a full-blown house fire, I wouldn't keep my hopes up that everything would be intact. I think the best case scenario would be that the outside opening mechanism would melt and you'd have to hire someone else to open it for you.

**Q: What are the inner dimensions? I need to know if I can fit what i have**
A: The interior dimensions are 7.8 in H x 11.9 in W x 5.1 in D.

**Q: it keeps beeping!  We just got it today. Why?**
A: Bought for someone else, but they said that theirs never beeped weird.  Only thing I can think is maybe a battery is bad, but sure you thought of that.  One of the 2 came and didn't have the battery back to keep the batteries in.  Amazon replaced.  If you haven't figured it out by tomorrow call honeywell and see otherwise call Amazon and get a new one.  Definitely make sure its not the batteries.  Wish I had a solid answer, sorry.

The safe was exactly what i was looking for. The combination is easy to set and works every time.
