great paddle
I have both the midweight version as well as this lightweight version (for my wife). First off, my wife loves it. We are coming from our starter paddles, so anything is likely an upgrade. Notwithstanding, these paddles give you plenty of "feel" for the ball. Not sure how to describe it, but the ball comes off the paddle predictably. In comparison to the the midweight, this is a hair faster at the net. And although the midweight has a little more oomph, the lightweight is no slouch. Having played with both, they both play very close to each other and switching back and forth is very easy. Midweight offers a slight advantage in power, and lightweight offers a slight edge in hand speed. But both play extremely well.

This paddle really is "epic"
I've been playing pickleball (I should say, addicted to - fellow players know exactly what I mean) for about a year now. Although I went out and bought a cheap two paddle with balls set before the first time I played, I have since been using an old, kinda not great one that I borrow from the "bag-o'-paddles" where I play in a local gym. In the meantime, my husband began playing about the same time and after six months, forked out the bucks for this exact paddle. And because he loves me, he let me borrow it. What a difference! Playing pickleball with this paddle is literally epic. The difference versus the old one I'd been borrowing versus this one is literally night and day. Most enjoyable is the feel of bounciness (vaguely like when a tennis ball hits your tennis racket, but less noticeable) as you SLAM THE BALL (sorry about that, but fellow players, again, know exactly what I mean). I'm really glad that I waited to buy a quality paddle until I'd been playing for a while and I'm even gladder that my husband used some sort of flowchart to find this one which allowed me to try it and choose same. Mine came marked "8.0 ounces" on the plastic covering and this is a good weight for me (5'4"x120#). A friend who is about my size said she'd tried the lighter weight version and it was too light. In summary, where have you (Epic Pickleball paddle), been all my (Pickleball-playing-life)? I don't know how I survived without you.

Light Quick Long Love it
I asked a guy how he liked this paddle while I was playing with him about a year ago, and he said he loved it and offered me to play with it a bit? Wow! it was love right away. I have bought an embarrassing amount of paddles the past three years now, and this one has my heart.I have the little longer version one and the lightweight one. Had it over a year now and recently had a 'too hard' of a "good shot" tap by a friend and dinged it pretty bad. So with that and all the play with it, it's pretty banged up after a year of hard play. I play almost everyday. So I just received my second one today, brand new, just out of the box, and it feels the same as my first one. Happy about that and ready to go whack some balls and see how it behaves. Feels like it will be exactly the same as the older one. I'll revise this if it is other than that, but it feels like a duplicate to my other, except it has no white mixed in with the blue color that I got both times now, which it even better as it should show less wear being all blue, probably. It's a five star paddle IMO. Each to their own though. It's the only paddle that I have bought two of back-to-back and it's slowed my embarrassing purchases of paddles too. Why break from a great love affair? No regrets! Zero - none - nada.Note update: This new paddle is just better than my old one of the same. I think my old one got a bit softer with all the play I do and the 'good play slaps' with partners paddles. I am going to try and not do hard paddle slaps with my partners so much anymore. Still, I see myself probably getting a new one after about 9 months just to be sure I have a proper paddle.

Too Expensive for how long they last
I purchased the lightweight Invikta. I used paddle for about six months when it started to develop and internal crack and started feeling mushy. I contacted support and sent them a picture. They accused me of hitting things other than the ball or hitting the ground too hard. This has never happened. I am a big guy and I like to smash the ball hard, but most of the play was indoors during winter months with softer balls. After a few emails back and forth they agreed to replace it under warranty. The new one has the new great feel, but I worry how long it will last based on my previous paddle.

All around fantastic paddle
Can't say enough good things about this paddle. Having tried a few top of the line paddles, the Selkirk Amped S2 is my hands down winner in terms of touch, feel, and power on demand. If you're a banger, this paddle probably won't do for your style of play, but if like to control the game and focus on placement shots, you won't be disappointed in this paddle. There is power in this paddle, don't get me wrong, but you do have to put more effort into your swing than some of the other carbon/graphite faced paddles, as this paddle's face is Fiberglass.

Not what I was hoping for
This paddle is a lot different than what I was expecting. I’m over 40 and wanted all the help I could get when it comes to reach. The reach is great but the narrower face really changes the sweetspot making the paddle feel less responsive. I don’t dislike the paddle but I find myself going back to my Onix x5 paddle every time I use this one. The onix was half the price. This is a quality paddle, well build and the longer grip feels great, I’m just not in love with it like I thought I would be.

Great upgrade!
I've only been playing for about a year so I started with a basic paddle and, when I was ready to buy a new one, looked at what the other players were using. I am very happy with the paddle. It is very light and provides a larger than average hitting surface.

Phenomenal Paddle - Selkirk Amped Epic
I absolutely love this paddle! Incredible feel, control, and power. Rated the #1 paddle in a recent article I read - for beginner up through expert. Highly recommend!

Selkirk paddle
They sent me a mid weight paddle, resulting in a heavier paddle. I was not able to pick the paddle weight or the grip size. I was also not able to pick color of paddle.
