A cheese slicer like this is most useful for Dutch cheese like Gouda, Edam, Maasdam etc. it works far less on crumbly British cheeses such as Leicester and Cheddar, and not at all on soft cheeses such as Camembert. For when you have a wheel of Komijnenkaas or Jong Belegen though, or anything like that, this tool is a wonder. It has a satisfying feel in the hand, a nice weight to it, and it just works. Every time.

Nice grip, good blade, slices beautifully. My only gripe is that these type of cutters are not suited to solid British cheddar. They really are designed for soft Scandinavian varieties and this one is perfect for just that job.

Honestly such a great product, who thought a cheese slice could be so stylish? Certainly not me but it has a great weight, shape and is incredibly good at it's one job.

Well made quality cheese slicer also works well on cucumbers.

Not worth the money. Blade is not particularly sharp and the slices are way too thin. A wire cutter is much better. Now sitting in a kitchen drawer unused

Great slicer. Just wash it a couple of times as first couple of uses , black was on cheese but after a couple of good washes no problem.

Essential for a dutch person, but really all should have them. If you don't have a cheese slicer, come out of the dark-ages!
