Unfortunately, I live in an area where a lot of people aren’t very conscientious about keeping their unsocialized dogs contained on their property. I’ve been bitten once and nearly bitten twice more, and was only saved by my Halt dog spray. Animal control forced the owner to give up the biting dog because I was not the first person that it had bitten, but the other one is still around. The pepper spray does work, but on windy days it’s not always going to work. So I got this as a last line of defense to help deter the dogs. it’s light enough that it’s not a big deal to carry around on a walk.

Great, balanced whip. Easy to hold and a perfect length. Good for schooling.

Nice and swishy, I think it was a great value. But I don't ride dressage, I needed it mostly to shoo off my horse's pushy roommate. I wish it had a wrist loop but I've been informed that dressage whips never have wrist loops so you can switch them from hand to hand.
