Why does amazon restrict my 1 star review on this item? 5 star rating is a lie! two markers were completely dry... do not buy!

In the last months, Amazon has twice cut me off from reviewing at all, and deleted 20 years of reviews. I have always been completely within community guidelines. I was surprised at how...well...offended I was.

Can these be used reliably on fabric?

Yes, but fabric will dry out the marker faster than a non-absorbent surface will. Depending on your project you may need many more markers to complete it on fabric. Also, sometimes fabric absorbs too much ink and it runs or blurs off of your design. Practice first on a swatch.

Where are these made?

My package says assembled in the USA, no reference to where the parts/chemicals come from. Based on the list of components found online I would venture to say the supplies come from all over, and the precise locations of the suppliers probably changes depending on cost. We're talking about things like Polyester, alcohol, water, plants, wood, leaves and even fungi, so you can see the odds of there being one country as a reliable source for all those is not very high. Hope this helps.

Can these markers be used to permanently write on metal?

I believe so. I remember my husband writing on metal (aluminum) with the largest of the Sharpie pens in this variety pack, and they seemed to be permanent.
