Q: I understand "160 watts at 8 ohms". but what does "64 watts at 70 volts" mean?

The speaker has a selector switch used to specify if your using on a 70v, 25v or just as an 8 Ohm speaker array. Depends on what type of power amp you’re using to drive the speaker. If you’re powering with 70v amp, than 64 Watts will be the max. If you’re not using a 70v system but an 8 Ohm amp, you can set the selector to bypass and drive up to 160 watts depending on the wattage of your amp.

Q: I have about 480 sq feet in a DMV lobby, would 1 be able to cover it?

Yes, that should more than cover it.

Q: what about music??? Would these deliver in a dance studio? I have 2000+sf of open dance space.

I think the bass response may not get you there. Adding a sub would make it a perfect solution.
