This is a birthday gift for my Dad. While the presentation is lovely, I haven't given it yet and so we haven't tried it yet. However, I did inspect the bottles and the olive oil bottle states it was bottled in 2015. That means even if it was bottled in December (unlikely) it is already 10 months old. Way too old for a quality olive oil. I suspect it is more like 14 months old or older. While the balsamic won't suffer from age, olive oil certainly does. Until we try it I won't know. While it might be better than the stuff you buy at the grocery store, I don't consider year old olive oil to be what the description purports to be; a high quality olive oil suitable for dipping. That's what I bought this for. For dipping fresh Italian bread. Whether it will live up to that claim is yet to be seen and tasted.

not worth the money, sure nice bottles and spouts, but not what was paid. I will not buy again.

I have been buying Della Terra olive oil and vinegar locally for a few years and so I am glad that it is being carried by Amazon. Every time I use the olive oil and the aged balsamic vinegar, my guests swoon over it. I am tired of giving my guests the rest of my opened bottles to take home and leave myself high and dry until I get back to the store to replenish my supply. Now I can send it as gifts and assure myself of a constant supply of this "liquid gold." I drizzle the buttery extra virgin olive oil on almost everything and the "balsamic gold" on strawberries, asparagus and put it into my best vinaigrettes. It's like a mouthful of port emulsified into a rich vinegar.
