As a long-time Nespresso user, I've journeyed through countless brands of coffee pods, but I consistently return to illy. Their Classico Medium Roast, in particular, has secured its place as my go-to for a perfect morning cup. It strikes a fantastic balance between flavor, quality, and consistency that's hard to beat. Pros ........ The star of the show is undoubtedly the taste. I personally prefer the medium roast in the illy range, and this one delivers an exceptional flavor profile. It’s smooth and balanced, with distinct, elegant notes of caramel, orange blossom, and jasmine that create a truly sophisticated cup of coffee. You can genuinely feel the high quality of the beans. Another significant advantage is the pod material. They are made of aluminum, which preserves the coffee's freshness and aroma far better than the paper or plastic pods used by some other brands. Cons ........ My only slight disappointment isn't with the coffee itself, but with the recent change in packaging. These pods used to arrive in a beautiful, sturdy, and luxurious-feeling box that added to the premium experience. Lately, however, my orders have been delivered in a simple thin carton or, on one occasion, just plastic wrap. It’s a small detail, but it does detract from the high-end feel the brand is known for. Despite the downgrade in packaging, the coffee inside remains top-tier. If you’re seeking a Nespresso-compatible pod that delivers a consistently rich, nuanced, and high-quality coffee experience, the illy pods are an absolute must-try. The flavor is unparalleled, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to any coffee lover.

Very tasty with strong smell of coffee

Nice subtle no-nonsense coffee. I returned my Nespresso machine but keep ordering this coffee and make through a pour over with my own filter. Makes a good 10oz with pour over. The taste is like a soft coffee but with a little Boldness and a slight complexity but not with the layers of flavour that grab out at you the way Starbuck would. So, you wont get “fruity”, “cocoa”, “berry”… elements in the taste profile… but you will also say that this coffee does not cheap out… it’s a good cup.
