TIM meat food thermometer, suitable for barbecue and cooking, instant reading waterproof digital kitchen thermometer probe, suitable for barbecue smoker fried sugar

I had a previous thermometer that was similar to this one but Amazon no longer carried it. I found this thermometer doing a search. I needed one that would be long enough so that I don't burn my arm on a hot pot or oven rack. Plus, since I make quite a few things from scratch, accuracy in the reading is very important. I received the thermometer quickly. Unpacking was easy. They send you an extra battery, a guitar pick to open the battery compartment and instructions on how to use. Everything you need is on the red part of the thermometer. Just open it up and automatically the digital interface is on. I like the large handle and hole on thermometer which limits your chances of dropping it into a pot or pan (thankfully, I have not done this....yet!). The numbers are large for easy reading and you can change the temperature reading with ease. So far, I really like the thermometer. I would say this was a good buy.

That being said I could care less about it I had a old thermometer that seem like it took longer to get a reading then to actually cook the meat. This is easy to use seems very accurate I’ve used it for hamburger meat and chicken so far hamburger meat I have always been good at but decided to try it out the burgers came out great medium rare and the chicken has also been great not over cooked nice and juicy. Still need to try fish but so far it’s great also love the magnet stick it right on the fridge.

This is an excellent thermometer, easy to use, compact, sturdy, and small. It can be store anywhere.

The digital thermometer started to falter within a month. Temperature fluctuations are too high within split seconds. It’s clearly showing lower temperatures than actual.
