Sounds counterintuitive, but when you close the lid again after reinserting the LED strip, it makes better contact. Took me 3 years to figure that out. **Q: Why is this not suitable for 120/m led strips. If I cut led strip into short pieces (1 meter) and have a metal backing. These should be fine correct?** A: I'm not sure what the 120/m is referring to but if it is 8mm single color 2 pin then what you're asking should work. I'm not an LED specialist or an electrician but have had reasonably good success using the cut and splice method to get gapping in cabinet lighting. Btw, where did you read these were unsuitable for short strips of the LED bands? **Q: Can you use this product to connect led strip on one end and wire on the other?** A: The space under the contacts is very thin so it would be hard to get a wire under it. There might be adapters for it, or you may have to solder the wire. **Q: anyway of how i can put this next to water, it should stay waterporoof like a plastic around...?** A: These are not in any way water proof.. In fact, they fail regularly after a few months.
