Where is the wire crimper? I have carried the plain old 600 for probably 20 years the pliers part looks the same.

The "plain old 600" also has wire crimpers. Upper side of the handle behind the the pliers head.

Can the Remgrit saw be wapped out with jigsaw blades? Is that what the universal coupler is?

yes, you can install any of the U Shank Jigsaw Blades in the Gerber (of standard length) but not the T-Shank Jig Saw Blades.

I received mine today. It does NOT have "USA" stamped on the side. The packaging indicates that the jaw was made in Taiwan, the sheath in China. It says "Assembled in USA" and "designed and Engineered in Oregon."
