The material this is made of looks much nicer in reality than pictured. Construction is good also. The picture makes the external bag attached to the side to seem bigger than it is in reality. I didn't want it to look like it was a traveling suitcase, but this looks really nice. I was looking for something to take my surface pro 3 to interviews. The issue I have is that I use a hotspot. The question is where to hide the hotspot? Answer -right in the side compartment. Now I can open up the portfolio, take notes on my surface pro 3 and access the internet with my hotspot - all while doing it in style. I'm happy with the purchase.When not using this for interviews, this also works well for me when carrying around my surface pro 3. This is because I use the microsoft wedge instead of the standard surface pro 3 keyboard (love the wedge!) This slides right into the side compartment, which is really nice. It's an all around good carrying case for the tablet.I also like that it holds the tablet with a space from the edges. It is held by elastic on the four corners. If the tablet is being held with space between the tablet and the corners, then I can image the elastic would cause a buffer to an impact if the portfolio was dropped on an edge or the corner. I have not tried this, nor will I. But it would seem like there would be a little extra protection versus in the tablet was hugging the corners of the covering. I don't know if this would be true, but I thought I would point it out.

Piece of crap.Like all the other reviews, I loved the portfolio at first.purchased Sep 29, 2017, corner loop tore off about a week after I could return it.I will also say that I babied this portfolio, I carried perhaps a total of ten times by itself, most days it was IN ANOTHER BAG, bagception if you will. I have a very nice $250 top grain leather messenger bag, very beautiful, very durable, very heavy.So when I saw this with just a tiny bit of extra storage, for my surface pro 4 a notepad and I could still take my microsoft foldable keyboard and arc mouse AND charger...I was sold...I was so blinded by how perfect it fit my needs, I totally ignored all the other reviews.Needless to say, sure enough, like I said, a week or so after my return period lapsed, I go to pick the bag up to go home the damn loop with a piece of the PU vinyl tore off... and just like that the portfolio was worthless.Deeply disappointed.

Adequate quality & professional look. Velcro straps that hold the corners of Microsoft surface tablet are a little big, thus raising the tablet a little high when on upright position using the easel feature. This makes the keyboard hanging a little too high which prevents me from letting it lay flat (w/c I prefer) & leaves my wrist in the slightly bent position. It is likely that the rings for strap will break if the portfolio is too heavy. They way it's sewn can be improved.

I use this without the paper pad (easily removable) for use as a portfolio just for my Samsung Note 10.1. I've been using this for about a month now and have found it great to take my tablet to meetings and for travel. The piece the the paper tablet attaches to is actually just a nice thin pad with a soft side that faces the tablet. The tablet then sets on it's own folding piece whereby the other piece can be folded under and the tablet set up with the folder as a stand. Works GREAT to work or watch videos on long plane flights! I didn't know if I'd like the pouch on the front side, but it is great for holding my phone as well as a portable charger and even headphones when traveling. The feel of the leather is soft and overall the portfolio seems very sturdy. I also wasn't sure if the straps holding the corners of the tablet would interfere with the screen at all, but it actually does not at all. I would highly recommend portfolio for tablets.

I have been looking for an all in one... saw several for $80-$90 with mixed reviews, and decided not to chance those. This one also had mixed reviews (devises either too big or too small) but for the price I decided to try it, one reviewer said it did fit the iPad Pro. Quickly opened to see if my 12 in iPad Pro would fit, and similar to other reviewers quickly noted there was no way it would fit. Was getting ready to send back when I realized the straps were on Velcro squares that can be moved! It is a snug fit, but it works! I recommend moving the bottom squares to the far end corners as tight as you can get, put the bottom of the iPad in, and then put the top squares on the iPad (not attached to the binder first) and then squeeze iPad into the binder attaching the Velcro squares on the top of the binder as you put it on. Just on day one of use. Will try to update review after I see how it holds up, but wanted to make sure people knew the straps to hold in the iPad are on Velcro squares that will move to fit device, as other reviewers noted their device was too loose or too big and did not fit. Went to see if I missed this in reviewing it, but as of this review it is no longer available on Amazon so I can't view the description or pics, but from other reviews I think other buyers missed it too if it was there.
