Burley Clay Goldfinch Bird Bath Pedestal

Bath is somewhat heavy, but necessary for the stability we were looking for.Overall we are pleased with the birds acceptance.

Very pretty if you like this style. But, even after sealing it the bowl cracked. Needs to be covered or come inside in winter.

Attractive and well made. Bowl had to be attached to pedestal with Loctite PL-500 construction adhesive to keep it from falling off in heavy winds or if a raccoon tried to drink.

The birds love it. Well made, great shipping, well packed. I did put some silicone calk between the top and the base; it is a little "tippy" without it.

Item was broken my 75 year mom cannot physically return this. Trying to have another sent without paying double

What about a top for this birdbath? Have had my Burley Clay Goldfinch bath for several years, an elegant addition to our desert oasis. Every day we enjoy watching assorted resident birds as they splash and squabble. The bath is beautiful and stable; however, would recommend placing the bath in a location sheltered from high winds. The bowl sits rather precariously on the pedestal and can topple off in a windstorm. Even weighted with two large rocks, I have had two bowls blow off and crack in sudden storms. Buy the Goldfinch, but set the bowl on the ground until high wind subsides. You and your bird friends will love this elegant bath. Note: I just went to the Burley Clay website looking in vain for a top. If you find one, Burley Clay is selling an adhesive product that goes on the pedestal to secure the top. This adhesive will allow removal and replacement of the top.

it is beautiful and arrived in perfect condition an excellent purchase

This is not exactly the one I purchased but it is of the same material. I don't recommend this because it breaks so easily....like pottery does. I had great communication w/ this company and they promised to refund my money but so far I have not rec'd it. The bath I bought had cardinals on it and it was beautiful. I offered to return it but the company said that was not necessary and would refund my $79. This purchase was made the first part of June. Ummmm.? I do not see that particular one for sale anymore otherwise I would have written my review on that site.
