Nice quality figure. Painted well.

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my sone and she loves it. The quality is amazing and he has it sitting on his shelf in a display case.

The Archive Death Trooper is pretty much a straight reissue of its older release. The figure is tall and lanky, and this makes posing feel "off" sometimes. The articulation was dated when they released the figure the first time around, and remains so. The figure retains its old trigger hand sideways wrist hinge, and it is a pretty bad miss that there was no effort, either in the original or the reissue, to address this. This is probably the figure's biggest failing. The paint applications remain pretty clean and minimal; that's one of the great things about a glossy black figure. The gloss does look nice. The figure's accessories are the same as well, with possibly a bit more silver near the muzzle of the blaster rifle. Its a miss that they couldn't do the movie accurate multi-colored effect on the muzzle instead. The blaster pistol is identical, and its scope hooks through the soft plastic loop hanging on his belt. Once you hook it through, slide the pistol up in the loop to secure it. The loop doesn't lay flat on the figure's side, so the pistol tends to always stick out from the body. If you already have these in your collection, not enough changed to make this a worthwhile addition. If you missed out on these guys the first time around, or you are just a trooper army building freak like me, buy him.

Great addition to my Star Wars display. The subtle shades of dark grey and green are really nice on this figure.
