I recently managed to buy the TPR on a good offer, which was enough to sway me in favour of taking a chance on them. I haven't been disappointed, and am delighted to find that the flight sim feels significantly improved. The key differences are the scale, weight and tension of the pedals, all of which feel true to a real-life light aircraft. The unit is sturdy and robust, with an all-metal construction and strong springs, adjusters and hardware. The pedal rake (angle) and tension are easily adjustable, and aside from these tweaks to suit your set-up, the unit requires no further construction. When I first connected the pedals to my Windows PC running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, I was disappointed to find the yaw and brake axes working inconsistently, also generating a great deal of jitter. For some reason, spending a huge amount on peripherals tends to leave you with very high, and perhaps unrealistic, expectations out of the box. The initial 'problem' was soon resolved by updating the unit's firmware before downloading Thrustmaster's dedicated calibration utility from their website. It's a basic and quite poorly-designed piece of software, but it works nonetheless - you just have to remember to unplug the pedals' USB lead AFTER you have calibrated them, but BEFORE you close the calibration software. Once you've done that, they will work fine and 'remember' their internal settings, providing full-range motion and negligible jitter in the flight sim software. This amounts to solid, responsive rudder and brake control with a generous range. Overall, I am really pleased with this purchase. I finally have the pedals I feel my labour of love deserves. That said, these come at a premium price, so I would have preferred the initial setup process to be a more seamless experience.

After using the Thrustmaster TFRP Rudder Pedals for about three months in various flight sims, I can say they offer decent value for their price point. The pedals provide a good mid into rudder control for flight simulation enthusiasts, though they're not without their quirks. The build quality is mostly metal, which is expected at this price range. While they don't feel premium, they're sturdy enough for regular use. The sliding motion is smooth initially, though I noticed it can get slightly sticky after extended sessions. A bit of maintenance with silicone lubricant helps solve this issue. The T.A.R.G.E.T software is a nice addition, offering good customization options for different games. However, it can be a bit confusing to set up initially, and the interface feels dated. Once configured, though, it works reliably. The toe brakes have a decent feel, though they could use more resistance for better precision. I appreciate the adjustable tension, which helps tailor the experience to personal preference. The pedals' footrests are comfortable enough for longer flying sessions. One notable drawback is the somewhat narrow base, which can make the unit feel less stable during aggressive maneuvers. I ended up securing mine to prevent sliding, which solved the issue. For PS4 compatibility, it works seamlessly with supported games, making it a versatile choice for multi-platform users. At this price point, the TFRP offers good value for mid and experienced simmers. While it may not satisfy hardcore enthusiasts, it's a solid starting point for those looking to enhance their flight sim experience without breaking the bank. 4.5 out of 5 stars - Good value for money, despite some minor limitations.

Built with all metal & aluminium alloy parts. There are software you can install to calibrate and fine tune it. I did not have to install any additional software since it worked out of the box with MSFS 2020. I dial down the center as it was a tad sensitive using the MSFS 2020 control setting. Although the pedals weighted in at +-7kg, you will still need to prop the pedals up against the wall or in my case I used a piece of wood to prevent from sliding.
