My only negative comments are that the paper and binding are a bit lower grade and some photos are not super-high quality. Buy this book!! Absolutely Awesome Book! I own “7000 Years of Jewelry” and love it, but this book presents hundreds of pieces I have never seen in any of the other art and jewelry books I own, or the museums of New York City (and maybe DC). My only negative comments are that the paper and binding are a bit lower grade and some photos are not super-high quality. Buy this book!!

Great book poorly packed and shipped
Great visual reference for an aspiring jewelry maker, collector or historian. I wish the book had been physically packed and shipped better. It was dinged and slightly ripped and dog eared upon receipt.

A very good read. Loaded with ample pictures. The text and photos are all high quality. The book was new and well packed. A collectors ‘s delight.

Superb, wide-ranging survey of personal adornment from the prehistoric onwards. Because this was originally a german publication, it includes many items that you just don't see in other books that rely more on the good old V&A archives, and some fresh perspectives.
