great CPU for a budget system
for an all in 1 general CPU it is very good. its built in GPU seems pretty fast you will need to get a board that supports very fast ddr3 ram 2400+ to really unlock the full potential of the onboard CPU graphics. The quad core side of the CPU seems to be on par with something like a q6600 or 9650 core 2 duo still good for doing multithreading apps with better single core performance then one of those CPU I believe the limited cache size limits it capability it is not fast like an FX8350 but it seems faster then a Phenom II I purchased this to be used in our test engineering area for running national instruments boards for this and controlling test ovens and pressure controllers with a SQL database at $149 for this much power with integrated graphics I like it over an i5

Cheap CPU+Cheap graphics =/= Good APU
This CPU is a terrible deal. The APU gives you iPhone-level graphics and the CPU bottlenecks at 100% across all cores on basic tasks like Microsoft Word, Chrome, Edge. Don't even think about playing games. It bottlenecks on even extremely CPU independent games like DOOM.

Nice for budget-minded cumputer builds
The Wraith Cooler is very silent. The APU performs as expected, and the integrated Radeon graphics work well for office productivity, HD video and even some light gaming or 3D modeling. Overall, it works fine, just make sure to pair it with a discrete GPU to get the most out of it.

Great for micro builds excellent steam gaming
Got this Apu with ssd and 2133 ram and gigabyte board. Works perfect for gaming. My monitor is 27in Samsung curved screen. I can multitasking, game, surf, and listen to music with no lagging or drop in performance. I game at 1080p resolution. My other rig is i5 4790k with ssd and gtx 760. The only difference is I can play most of my games with all options maxed out. Also single thread items load a lot faster. This system was considerably more than my a10 set up. The a10 I can game with some games on max settings others pretty close to max. The fact that it's all on board a chip is impressive. I like the colors that amd graphicss bring they are more vivid in my opinion. One viewer said the graphics were bad I suspect he did not adjust settings, resolution and graphics quality. Amd did a great job on this.I play all kinds of games Witcher 3, tomb raider, wow, sc2, left 4 dead and so on. You have to mess with game graphics settings to find the optimal spot between good graphics and good fps.each game different. If you are on a budget, or want to build htpc, steambox or a decent machine buy the a10 you can't go wrong. Load times, streaming and surfing are identical to the i5 in fact I probably wouldn't know the difference until you put it to a heavier task. Even then it's still great for what it is.

Poor design and a waste of money
The extra cores are disabled when the R9 card is activated. When using just the on-chip R7, the processing cores are retarded to the point where any gains you'd have are negated. Poor design and a waste of money. Stick with the FX and a graphics card. Or wait for Zen.

Good Budget AMD upgrade
I upgraded my computer from a AMD X4 840 to this A10-7890. My benchmark increased by 50% and I have seen marked improvements overall. I'm not sure if I would have been better off just upgrading to the AMD X4 880K than this CPU. I really don't use the GPU attributes. The Wraith Cooler blew me away, it is a monster stock cooler. I use a tower cooler instead, but will keep this one handy. The only thing I do not like about AMD's APU's is that there is no built in Temperature Sensor. It is really hard to keep track of my CPU Temps. As I write this, I am running at 4.093ghz and at 38-45c. I'm using the Gigabyte F2A88X-D3HP Motherboard and 16gb, 1600mhz RAM and a EVGA e-GeForce GT 740 GPU with 4gb RAM. So far I have not a single hick-up. I will be getting 16gb more RAM for my Birthday and hope to have more smooth sailing on Assassin Creed. P.S. - I'm on Windows 10 Pro, good job Microsoft on getting out a stable OS with a decent mix of Windows 8 and 7.

BUYER BEWARE!
I saw their ad and hoped that I would be able upgtade my old computer and the fact that I would get a new cooler in the process seemed great. ( A-Series APU with Radeon R7 Graphics & Wraith Cooler ) . Well the product came in the mail and was in a small non descript box with no paper wprk and NO Wraith cooler. I installed the CPU and it did not work or boot. I cpntacted AMAZON and reported the bait and switch along with the fact that there was no ledgable return address.
