2000 7.3 Dayco belt started getting noisy and squealed at 1000+rpm... Installed the Gates Fleetrunner and the squeel is gone! No problems and would highly recommend this belt to anyone that is after the highest quality serpentine belt available for the 7.3.⁸

The gates green belt is a very high quality product. Runs quiet, doesn’t cost much more than stock, fits great, and looks like a higher quality product than stock. Overall works great. This is my second one, changed because I figured it was time. The one I took off was still in great shape 5 years later. Will buy again when needed.

Previously had the Gates single pulley tensioner which had the typical design flaw where the bolt backed out. Gates is a great company, but the original Ford design was flawed which caused the bolt to back out over time. There is a lot of conflicting information out there so I'm going to try and share my experience on my "OBS" (1994-1996 and 1997 HD) 7.3 PowerStroke F-250 Paired this Gates K081223HD fleetrunner belt with a Motorcraft BT-50. Followed the TSB 98-23-14 procedure to modify the bracket that holds both the idler pulley and alternator. Requires cutting and grinding, so be prepared remove the bracket and do this procedure outside of the engine bay unless you're a psycho masochistic mad lad. TAKE NOTE OF HOW THE METAL CLIP THAT HOLDS THE TENSIONER TOGETHER WORKS AS YOU WILL NEED TO RELEASE IT AFTER INSTALLATION. Make sure the new BT-50 properly seats and has clearance on the modified bracket. Reinstall the bracket. AFTER routing the new belt, be sure to release the clip on the BT-50 to release the spring and properly tension the belt. Not doing so will cause a floppy belt, which is probably the problem the hosers had when you read about "lose belts" in the online forums. I'm happy with this configuration and I won't have to worry about a bolt backing out into my pulley anymore. I hope this helps somebody in the future. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Fit as described.

Whoever designed these green serpents needs a raise and a steak dinner! Tough belt and no squeal like most even with slight misalignment of my power steering pulley
