This product is a tremendous value - offers the ability to use the tie-down plates for extended storage options or securing items in the back of your Wrangler. The thumbscrews and plate have a few configuration options - you can place the plate above, below, or between the washers . It just depends on whether you want a flush plate or need some space beneath the plate. The very edges of the thumbscrews can be a tad rough on your hands when you tightem them down - I just use my recovery gloves and am able to hand-torque them down as needed. The plates are extremely durable and the entire kit feels very premium.

I used these in my camper shell to attach a THKFISH fishing rod holder. Attached them to window screws on both sides of camper and then attach the adjustable strap that contains the hook & loop rod holders to each side. Nice to find something that I was hoping might be available somewhere. Spent lots of time looking at hardware, nothing I could find provided the square horizontal cut outs for the straps - then I found these! They're not gonna break like plastic would do either..

Over the years, there have been several times when carrying something in the jeep scratched up the cargo area because I didn't always have good attach points for tying things down. Having these in place provide some low attachment points where I can strap things down so they don't bounce around so much. I don't need them often but they are handy when I do. They are also very solid with wide opening you can easily use wider ratchet straps if needed.

This item is cool and a great concept. Does the job by not allowing my top to fly off while driving, yay.However, the bolts thoroughly enjoy backing away and you have to retighten them frequently. I’m talking about twice a week for me. This could also be that way because the drives I make daily are on a highway that has been given constructive criticism to change itself. So, I don’t think driving over a lot of bumps at high speeds help.This would imply that off-roading would do the same if on bumpy terrain. I have been out since I’ve installed these.

Just right. Came with thumb screw, metal washer, rubber washer, bracket and nut. I used the existing rectangular nuts on the Jeep to avoid needing a wrench to hold the nut provided. Able to get a good grip to tighten down. Rubber washer holds everything in place so parts aren’t dropping all over the place when you remove/install. Makes taking the top off far less trouble. Didn’t buy it because of the brackets - but use them for everything from securing the rear seat to holding groceries.Weird that you have to put the star sticker on yourself - but not a problem. Definitely satisfied with this purchase.
