Review: It Works well.... - Lacquer-Stik Paintstick, White work well on my gun etchings. Did fills on my S&W 40c, Sig Saur P220 45 compact, and S & W MP Sport AR15. Came out pretty well despite having to get the residue from paintstick off. Used Acetone and rubbing alcohol which did not work too well. As others suggested, used a Mr Clean Magic Eraser to get residue finally off. Use some gun oil to put oil back on slides and lower AR15 receiver. Otherwise, good stuff! See how long it last? Ps. Used nail polish in the past but it did not last long.

**Q: I have a cabinet that has some chips in the paint along the edge - can this be used to fill in those chips?**
A: I think it would remain too soft to be used that way

**Q: Can I use this to repair scratches and chips on my white semi-gloss kitchen cabinets?**
A: Technically yes, but only as a cosmetic temporary solution that may not be very pleasing especially over large area. The material is a waxy crayon substance, it is not going to hold up to wear and can wipe away over time.  This is not a lacquer based product though it can harden a bit yet it's still pliable.  This product wasn’t intended for scratch repair but rather fill in embossed areas where paint had worn off like on control dials.
You say your cabinets are a lacquer finish therefore should be touched up with an actual lacquer paint product which are available for that specific purpose. Takes a bit of skill and trial to blend any paint scratch, lacquer being both easy and fussy. I suggest Practice using regular spray enamel or an appliance paint with a fine artist paint brush on the back of the cab door.

A: I think it is more for small scratches and engravings

Works very well For enhancing metal stamping

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Enhances and restores engraving

I used this to fill-in and restore the original engraved lettering on the polished Bakelite bases of some antique telegraph keys. It applied easily, enhanced the engraving with a brilliant white that looks original and the fill cured quickly and doesn't smear. Application is simple and quick and cleans up with no trouble. It's perfect and I'm very happy with it. Just an additional thought for potential users: the primary surface must be smooth and not rough. If it isn't smooth, you will get white lacquer in the rough surface around the etching or engraving and it will be difficult to clean up. I mention this because of some of the unhappy comments a few other reviewers have made.
