My water temp in the cooler mornings is up to 25°F warmer than the outside air after having turned off the pool heater off the prior afternoon. However, it does reflect the sun’s rays off the surface or the pool so you’ll get less heating naturally by the sun and will therefore need to initially use your heater more to get it up to temp. But once it’s at temp, it stays there for a long time.
