Good upgrade.
I like this upgraded version of psionics better than my original editions of the same material. The game itself evolves over time and how things are used or applied changes as more people provide feedback to the publisher. The book is well thought out and allows options for characters that were lacking in the original 3.5 edition books. Adding the rest of the books suitable for the expanded edition was equally important. And available.

One of my favorites
Anybody who is a heavy psionic fan like me knows the pain of realizing Pathfinder didnt have any. When the predicessor to this book was released I could not have been happier. Psionics Unleashed was in my opinion everything I was missing with no psionics scaled well for Pathfinder. This book expands on all the great things from the first while also adding several new classes that all have a strong mechanic of there own and fit well into my campaigns. To conclude: Fans of psionics will not be dissapointed in this product, but would probably want to own its predecessor first.

More psychic goodness.
I generally try to keep my Pathfinder material to "official" Paizo publications. However, since Paizo hasn't published any material on psionics, I went with Dreamscarred Press' supplements. The first book, Psionics Unleashed, adapts the material from the D&D 3.5 Expanded Psionics Handbook to Pathfinder standards quite well. This book, Psionics Expanded, follows logically from that book, adding numerous classes, as well as material tying it in to new Pathfinder rules from the Advanced Players Guide and other books. Psionics isn't for everyone, but if you want to use psionics in your Pathfinder campaign, this book provides a lot of great ideas.

A great 2nd entry in the line
I bought the first book Psionics unleashed and loved it. The mechanics are solid, the material well written, and the new character classes top notch. So when I saw this book I ordered it as well. Again the new classes are great , the new material is well done and works well with the previous book. My only real complaint is I wish both books would have been printed on the same size pages. Having book one be smaller in stature is odd but, ultimately only a cosmetic issue. Psionics Expanded Highly Recommended.

Good Edition
I purchased this at the same time as the Core Psionics System. Although we have not play tested extensively this does fill a hole in the basic pathfinder system. The books are substantial with a lot of well thought out information on adding psionics to your game. If your players use prestige classes this book adds a number of good ones. One thing I like a lot about this take on psionics is the different classes allowing you to add psionics to a caster or warrior etc instead of old second edition psionics. Back then you just got to have one talent or if you played a psionicist it was to similar to a mage.

Psionics, The other white meat...
If you ever played 3.5 psionics, you aren't missing much from all that material from then to now. But if you are new to D@D, roleplaying, or Pathfinder, welcome to more practical version of magic. Dreamscarred streamlined and updated all the old psionic classes and spells in their first book, Psionics Unleashed (buy first), and this edition adds new archtypes, powers, racial traits, and classes. My favorite new thing is adding "talents" to all the psionic classes which basically gives them access to 0 lvl powers akin to orisons and cantrips.

Great Product
I bought this because I am a big fans of Psionics. It did not disappoint. The new base classes made this a great purchase. I love the expanded class archetypes as well. I initially purchased the book because I wanted to specifically check out the sadist archetype for the vitalist class. It was great and I was even more impressed with the other base classes. My favorite being the aegis base class. It made me happy to think of a showdown between a soulknife manifesting weapons only to have the person they are fighting laugh and then burst into glowing full plate with spikes all over it. Very flavorful and solid mechanics wise. Reminded me a bit of a cross between soulknife and a summoner from the advanced player's guide. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
