Have these been used in boats to circulate air in compartments under the deck? Are they water proof or resistant?

I owe a coach with a residential fridgerator. I added these fans (two ) to the back side of the fridge.. Connected them to a thermo-temp sw. When the temp reaches 140 degrees these fans kick in to help move air flow up the vent. Hi-speed and relatively quiet. Highly recommend them. don't recommend them to get wet. mist of spray should be ok.

Can they be set up for 24v

No, they are designed for 12V only.

Can the fan be reversed to intake through rectangular port and blow out through the fan grate?

Don’t see why not since it is a dc motor nonregulated.
