Last year, we decided to get rid of all of our plastic cooking utensils. We replaced them all--spoons, spatulas, pancake turners, etc.--with silicon products made by Di Oro. We have been uniformly pleased with these products. This "standard spatula" (which I would call a pancake turner) was especially impressive, because it is very thin. We have had other silicon pancake turners that were not as useful, because they were too thick to slide under delicate foods, like eggs. This turner has a thin metal core covered by a thin layer of silicone. It is as thin, and as useful, as a metal pancake turner but will not scratch cookware. Last month, this pancake turner developed a crack in the silicone. (See photo). I wasn't sure that the would impair the item's use or cause it to be toxic, but I didn't want to take a chance. I contacted Di Oro through the Amazon website and received a response almost immediately. After a brief exchange of information, the Di Oro rep (Cyril) readily agreed to provide a new item, free of charge, even though it was a year old. Within a few days, we received a replacement. Cyril was courteous and professional throughout this short process. This is the kind of customer service that creates loyal customers. I would not hesitate to purchase from Di Oro, because they stand by their products.

It seemed great but just broke for no reason in just over a year, I expect better for that price.

"Chef Series" is right. This Spatula is pro-grade and legitimately awesome. I was looking for a proper omelette flipper since my spatulas either had rough ends from burning or just warped/melted over time. I got tired of cheap spatulas from insert random Chinese brand here. I saw that di Oro was highly rated on Amazon.com, so I looked into why. Turns out, they're an American company who specializes in a few small kitchen objects only: spatulas, peelers, and Keurig re-usable filters. •• Durability, Flexibility & Heat Resistance •• Di Oro makes a heck of a spatula. I've been using it for a month, making a 3 egg omelette EVERY morning. The spatula is thin enough to get under the tiniest foods. It's expertly balances flexibility with sturdiness. It's amazing for eggs, pancakes, and other light foods. Since it's oven safe up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit, I tend to leave it resting against my saute pan when on medium low. It's supremely non-stick. It picks up the tiniest amount of egg, but that egg slides off effortlessly. It's a perfect marriage for my non-stick pans. •• Cleaning is a cinch •• Imagine the most non-stick pan you've ever seen. This cleans in similar fashion. Pancake batter and eggs literally wash off with hot water. But don't believe my words, check out my photos below the review. •• Lifetime Guarantee •• Di Oro offers a lifetime guarantee on all of their products. LIFE TIME. There's none of the usual associated, "If you use it or sneeze on it, your warranty is invalidated" shenanigans. Considering one review on Amazon.com said he'd been using it for months at "extremely high temperatures," and it still looked "like the day he received it from Amazon," I feel confident in this spatula. My own experience is that after a month of daily use, it looks brand new with zero warping or fraying. I agree with that other reviewer; I'd be shocked if it didn't last years. •• Conclusion •• I didn't think I'd be writing a review of this "depth" for a Spatula, but it's honestly one of my favourite new tools in the kitchen. If you want something quality that's going to last, the Flex Standard is an excellent choice. Update 06/13/2019: 7 months later, it looks brand new. It's been super easy to wash and extremely useful. I doubly recommend it now :) Update 10/14/2020: Many moons later, it's beautiful. I use it for so many things. I so appreciate its heat resistance. Many times I've let it slide unattentively down the side of a hot pan without having a problem. I'll be recommending this spatula for years.

Ho comprato questa spatola per un uso prettamente casalingo, la certificazione che si porta appresso è sinonimo di qualità Pro: Robusta Resiste effettivamente a calori estremi (usata per grigliare un filetto) La parte interna è di acciaio quindi mantiene una buona elasticità senza far cadere carni anche di grosse dimensioni, facilmente lavabile Contro: Nessuno per ora, ci sono spatole di noti marchi blastonati che valgono 1/4 Consigliata.
