Consequences and Fallout For Some-A Thrilling Conclusion
Another great book from the team of Michael Reaves and Steve Perry. Jedi Healer picks up where Battle Surgeons left off. The loss of a close friend left Jos reeling, the spy continues to wreck havoc, along with the Black Sun syndicate after the valuable crop of boat. This book answers many of the questions posed by the first and focuses a bit more on Barris Offee and her quest to become a Jedi knight. This is particularly sad if you know the rest of her story, she handles herself so well under these trying circumstances. I love how this series shows a different side of the Star Wars universe and the medical terminology and situations feel realistic along with the in universe quotes. For those interested, you will meet up with I-5, Den and others in the Coruscant Nights series. A fantastic read, continuing the MASH feel. Star Wars fans will definitely enjoy this thrilling adventure.

MASH as Star Wars
This was a very good book that lets you look at the battle side of the war through the doctors and nurses. Also it was sort of a spy thriller too which added more to the story. It also tells about a Jedi trial and not to be afraid of embracing the force. It has excitement and romance in the story too. The writer keeps you guessing who the spy is and the book is a very enjoyable read.I first got this book on audible it was an abridgment which I did not even finish listening yo the book because it did not make any sense.I came across a comment on Audible that the abridgment did not do the book justice. Because I did not even finish listening to the book because it did not make any sense to me. I went to Kindle and brought the book and read it. The person that made the comment that the abridgment was not good was right. Reading the book made it made more sense and I found out that it was a very good book. This is what I may call a story arc which I read out of order and found that the stories was connected: 1. Darth Maul Shadow Hunter2. Medstar book I Battle Surgeons 3. Medstar boojk II: Jedi Healer 4. Coruscants Nights: Jedi Twilight 5. Coruscants Nights: Streets of Shadows 6. Coruscants Nights Patterns of the Force and the last one 7. The Last Jedi. All these books are connected and are very good and should be read in order. I read the books again and I found a very interesting story.

Somewhat filled in the movies we saw
It is part of the Clone Wars part of Star Wars and mostly was a diversion to the stories around Skywalker and Kenobe. It did eventually focus on a particular plant and made it interesting. If the reader wants to short-time escape from the primary characters, this is an enjoyable and refreshing book

Good solid character-driven plot
It's about time somebody wrote a book like this. Most Star Wars novels seem to compete with each other for whose characters can wield the most amount of Force, so in one book they're destroying a planet and the next they're destroying a solar system, until finally somebody has the galaxy in the palm of their hand.Sheesh.This on the other hand is more about characters you can actually identify with, good solid writing with back stories and culture and history, and enough tension to keep you going. It's a fine set of characters. The plot twist was easy to spot a mile away, but had just enough doubt to keep you suspended between hope and angst.Really this is more like something George Lucas would have written, with MUCH better dialog: a set of otherwise fairly normal people, set in extraordinary times. If you're tired of the spinoff authors who can't think of any better story climax than yet even more destructive power in the hands of evil, this is for you.

I loved it
Good book, many interesting characters, a mystery, issues with addiction, the force, gambling, droids getting drunk, it's a fun read.

This was a great ending to the Medstar duology
This was a great ending to the Medstar duology. While dealing with complex themes such as addiction and loss, the story manages to move along at a good pace and keeps the suspence building until the end. To the surgeons and staff of Rimsoo-7 the Clone War is a never ending stream of wounded coming into their operating room. To the spy working for the Sepratists it is a chance to get rich quick while betraying the people he is working with, and for a lone Jedi Healer it is a chance to face off against her possible addiction and to face down her temptations to give into the Dark Side of the Force. A nice ending to a thoughtful story.

A much better attempt!
THE STORY:The Battle for Drongar heats up as the future of the planet's valuable bota comes into question. Meanwhile, the healers of Rimsoo Seven have personal issues to resolve; Jos and Tolk's relationship has reached rocky ground, Den and I-5YQ must try to figure out where they fit in the wide galaxy and Padawan Barriss Offee has found a source of astonishing power, but should she give in to the urge to use it?WHAT'S GOOD:This book is so much better than it's predecessor as stuff actually happens and the characters actually develop somewhat. Also, elements that were disappointing in 'Battle Surgeons' are much improved here, such as the involvement of Black Sun in the plot and Barriss' exploration of her connection to the Force. Also there's a few bits and pieces that will attract fans, including an appearance by the Modal Nodes (that's the band from the cantina where Luke meets Han) and a reference to a superweapon being developed by the Republic for use in some sort of battlestation (can you say 'Death Star'?).WHAT'S BAD:This book still lacks the epic scope that you'd hope for in a Star Wars book and I was also hoping for a few more connections to the authors' previous Star Wars books ('Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter' by Reaves and 'Shadows Of The Empire' by Perry). Also, throughout the book there is an astonishing amount of medical terminology (half of which I'd swear was made up on the spot) and you soon get sick to death of unfamiliar words that end in things like 'ectomy' or 'ogenic'.

Excellent addition to Star Wars Universe.
Michael Reaves and Steve Perry have added a new dimention to the Star Wars novels with this duology. They have been able to add a bit of humanity to the faceless clones and the unfeeling droids of the clone wars. For the first time we are able to see how the real people behind the clone helmits are impacted by the death that surrounds them.Jedi Healer is a must have for any fan of the Star Wars novels. Don't be mistaken this novel is packed with the action and drama that one would expect from any Star Wars offering but it also comes with a little bit of heart. If you havn't read Medstar 1 Battle Surgeons you should get both as you won't want to wait to read Jedi Healer.Have a look at my other reviews for more Star Wars novel hits and misses.

Buch ist ok
Das Buch ist ganz in Ordnung, aber beim Lesen kommt nicht so richtig Spannung auf. Allerdings schön auch mal Bücher zu lesen, die die Nebencharaktere in den Mittelpunkt stellen!
