Jurassic Themed Bathroom. Not recommended for use as directed.
I bought this for a Jurassic Park themed bathroom. I can’t recommend this product to be used as it is in the description because it is an effort in frustration and does not work. This is ok if you want to do a small accent or do a small surface like a shelf or a table. But if you’re planning to do a whole room it does not really work. If you have any kind of texture on your wall it will not stick. My house was built in the 80’s so I have that mild orange peel on them. I did wash the walls first to get dust off of them. You start at the top to line up the paper and I highly recommend a smoother of some sort. But as you work your way down you likely will have the stuff falling on you like a Three Stooges episode. This will happen many times. If you have to unpeel a section to adjust it you’ll likely lose everything you’ve stuck to the top. It helps if you have a second person hold the top part. Oh and don’t push too hard on the smoother because it will rip the color off and you’ll have white paper. I recommend pulling part of the backing off at a time and then cutting it so you don’t have this giant roll hanging down in the way. Glue a few inches, have your friend hold it, then cut the backing and pull a few more inches. Keep repeating this all the way down. Luckily this pattern is simple and you just line up the black parts. I’d hate to think what would happen if you try this with a more complex pattern that has to be lined up perfectly. Watch the youtube video by Doctorairflow called Installing a Peel and Stick Wallpaper From a Pro Perspective. I ran into ever problem he did except the alignment thank goodness this is an easy pattern. Lastly don’t remove the entire backing because if the adhesive sticks to itself you can forget it. It’s over and you’ve lost an entire 8 foot panel. This is literally a mistake that will cost you. This stuff is expensive and I bought more rolls than I needed because of this problem and paper I had to fix. Because this was in a bathroom the panels I did manage to install started coming off due to the heat and humidity of the bathroom. I imagine this would be a problem over a longer time in other rooms since I live in Florida and heat and humidity is present even inside air cooled buildings. I did find a solution to all of this. I went to my local hardware store and bought a quart bucket of wallpaper adhesive and glued the paper on the old fashioned way. I highly recommend doing it this way and don’t bother fighting with the peel and stick aspect of this.So my nice bamboo wall paper is at last installed. As John Hammond said “Spared no expense” even in the bathroom huts. So my JP bathroom looks great and is ready after all that hard extra work for it to be destroyed by a T-rex. See my photos for the aftermath. So I do not recommend this product for use as directed for a full room. But I do recommend it if you hang it as old fashioned wall paper. If I could give 2.5 stars I would but don't think this is quite a three. The good point is once it works it looks amazing.

Love the look.
Looks amazing. I got this even though I have slightly textured walls. Didn’t stick well but used staples to keep it up. I was only going to do one wall in my bedroom but liked it so much that I did two. I’m considering doing all four even though it doesn’t stick well. Pricey but worth it. Dramatic difference.

Disappointed
So disappointed!!! First off there are no lines on the back so you better be really good at keep paper straight while you cut it and it’s rolling up on you at the same time. But I’m even more disappointed because it does not stick to walls as described!!! I got it up finally and it looked cool and then it started to pull away from the wall. This would probably work better as shelf paper where gravity works with it and things sit on it holding it down. I would not recommend as wallpaper as described though. I think this would work a lot better if they made it with a stronger adhesive.

Nice
Surprisingly easy to install and foolproof. If you mess up the application, you can detach it and reposition multiple times without much detriment. Another thing that makes this wallpaper hard to mess up is that even if you don’t line it up perfectly, the design will still match up and any discrepancy is invisible to the naked eye. One minor issue: it can bubble up while applying. To deal with is, apply constant even pressure while sticking it on. It helps if you have someone to help and press while you stick. If you see a large bubble forming, just peel and reapply from scratch. Happy with this overall. Goes well with light wood.
