AuSable Brand 4 ft. 1/16 Ultimate Small Animal Snare with Washer Lock & Wire Swivel End 1 Dozen

2 Stars because I was sent the correct amount of snares. But that's all, besides the envelope. I had never set these things before, so some info on how to set them, or where the best places are to set them would be helpful. the circle piece with the 2 holes is only supposed to give one way, so it ONLY gets tighter and not more loose on the animal. I haven't had any luck with them. After YouTubeing how to set them up and where, I can clearly tell something got caught up in there but didn't stay long. After lots of messing with them I can only conclude that's why.

I bought this set of snares to see how well made they were before buying more. And I was was quite impressed with the quality of these snares. Well made and strong. Only issue I had with these is not haivng them dipped and loaded, but then I knew these didn't have that so was not disappointed.I will opt for the pre dipped and pre loaded versions pcsoutdoors offers on my next order.Yes I or someone else could make some snares like these by themselves, but they are worth the price to have them premade and done right. I look forward to getting more snares from pcsoutdoors soon.

These snares are well made and will last many years of trapping. They are easy to use and set up. Well worth the expense and highly recommended for fox and weasel sized game. I find them a bit big for cottontails and too big for squirrels. I would prefer if the snares were brown or green; these are silver. That is the only reason I did not give them 5 stars. A little spray paint and some camo around them and they work fine for foxes, racoons and opossum that are after my poultry.

I am amazed that American quality is expressed in such a small tool. I couldn't duplicate at any where near this price. Smooth operation, solid hold. I will no longer waste my time making these on my own. Extremely well made. Each snare is consistent and precise in operation. This is a tool that you can use without hesitation and with confidence. I can say with certainty that any "misses" are my operator error. Great catalog, wide assortment. An easy choice when using or demonstrating use to new student. In my opinion this is the standard.

I hammered the clamps on them down just in case before deploying them in the field. When well placed these can hold good size small game like coons, rabbits ect.

Great product, does the job well. Nothing escapes if you set it right.Nice quality, not welded, but the clasp should hold up to anything big enough to get caught in this.I've used it on small game, practicing for survival and education purposes, I've seen and had many that were terrible quality, but these are great!

Gteat addition to the INCH bags. These work very well. They are far superior to any of the 'professional' snares I have purchased in the past. The cables are way thicker and stronger. Sure you could make your own and perhaps save a couple of bucks but these are very well made and durable and should last you forever if you don't forget where you set them.

I carry these in my bugout bag with "12-Ft Rubber-Coated Flex Plant Wire - Support Plant Vines, Stems & Stalks - Easy Cut to Size". The rubber wire is lightweight and great to hold the snares in place. The Snares are made with good craftsmanship and material. I like that they have the swivel. I have never used them .... but they would definitely work.
