I recently got really interested and really learning how to sharpen my good knives at home. I bought a good book by Gareth. Heaton, and I also looked at some things online. The book is the best thing I think I’ve gotten. He recommended this particular sharpening. Stone.. so far so good. I think it’s made a very good quality materials. Comes with a little base. Has an Asian look to me. So far it works great.. and is a pleasure to have. I’m really glad I got it.

A must have in a kitchen. Sharpens the knife's razor smooth. It takes a little to get used to on how to use the knife on the stone , but once you get the hang of it it's all clear sailing.

excellent, I have been looking for a quality stone for years, good value for money, angle guide is right for kitchen knives but not work knives but gives a good sharp edge.

The stone works perfectly with the angle guide. The guide WILL scratch your knife. It's not detrimental, but if you have a nice knife you want to keep pretty, this is not the sharpener for you.
