I owned a traditional Cast Iron tawa produced locally and also another non-stick tava. All in all this tava is better than either. It's production quality is top notch. Hawkins is a trusted brand. I had concerns about the metallic handle before I bought it. But in practice it is cool to the touch and has a clearly marked line beyond which it magically never heats up.
