Quiver is trumpeter and composer Ron Miles latest collaboration with guitar innovator Bill Frisell and master drummer Brian Blade. Brilliantly expands on the technical and spiritual foundations this 49-yearold musical trailblazer has crafted. Featuring performances of grace, elegance, and luminosity, this is modern jazz chamber music in the best sense of the term.

GENTLE,POWERFUL AND PASSIONATE
Each new music from Ron Miles is a gift, a precious gift. Ron Miles is a special trumpets, with a very sophisticated sound, at first sigh look very simple but is more complicated that this. In tis CD Ron Miles take with him a two incredible musician; Bill Frisell and Brian Blade. They make since years the same type of jazz, a perfect blend of contemporary jazz, same blues roots, a little of folk sound and, why not?, classical standard. In this opportunity all the composition are from Miles except one by Fred Fisher, other from Duke Ellintong, and a fantastic version of "Days of Wine and Roses" from the great Mancini. 3 themes are recorded live and the rest in studio. Anyway the CD is fastanstic, there is something magic in the sound and, more important, in the silence. Is brilliant and also stoic. A great new album from Ron Miles, Bill Frisell and Brian Blade. Absolutely elegant and fresh.PS. Hear the album "Heaven". Is a duets between Ron Miles and BIll Frisell, edited 10 years ago ana is the perfect complement of this one

Masters at work
While Bill Frisell and Brian Blade are well known master improvisers, Ron Miles is not, but should be. His sensitive work with Bill Frisell is reason enough to get this recording, and the interplay here is beautiful.

Great Jazz Album
I got this album after hearing a review of it on the radio. I'm glad I did. I like the melodic jazz style and the good blend of trumpet with the other instruments.

Ron Miles shines.
I first heard of Ron Miles through Bill Frisell's recordings. This trio with Bill and Brian Blade is wonderful. Get it.I've been having Paul Motian withdrawals for over a year now. There will never be another. Mr. Blades helps.Several thousand stars for these guys.

Quiver indeed
3 Musicians of great talent. Quiver presents the outstanding Brian Blade with an opportunity to display his granular art of the percussions.
