It is a good quality recorder, dependable (never had a recording issue) and easy to use. I have come to rely on it for clear, clean, audio recording that can be easily retrieved and used. The only issue might be the mic you use and the cord used to download recordings. I've been through two different cords that stopped working as transfer connections. I don't know why they stopped working. The one it came with was only ever used to transfer data from the device and was not bend or subjected to weight or play at the connection points. It stopped working after a year with not much use.
