First, anyone saying this doesn't fit 5/8 shafts is just wrong. I tried it on all my buffers: harbor freight, makita and dewalt. It fit all three with ease. The 3 inch backing plate worked very well. No wobble and thickness/firmness is just rightit's a quality product ata reasonable price. Will order again.

I have used this backing plate several times now with my Milwaukee M18 Buffer. It screws on perfectly and is great in hard to polish spots. My only regret is not buying one sooner

Backing plate has wobble. And unfortunately using a drill for smaller jobs, it can be annoying having to work around the wobble. I bought 3 different size backing plates. 1,3, and 5 inch. 2 out of the 3 wobble.

Product did not match description...WASTE OF MY TIME returning a product that was NEEDED to complete a job for a client....no consideration toInform me about the changes. Bag was opened when product arrived....unacceptable..
