Ok folks, lets skip the jokes, will these leads work on an almost new/old radio shack digital multimeter, cat # 22-811? perhaps from the mid 1900's.

I can't guarantee that they will work with your particular meter BUT, these work with every meter I own and I own lots. They are the standard shrouded banana type plugs to go into the meter. I believe they are 4mm. I have bought several sets of these leads and I'm very happy with them so far. I don't think you would be disappointed if you get them, but remember you can return them if they do not work with your particular meter.
