We had an ice storm yesterday so I was able to test the product. I did not slip on the ice. So far so good. I wear a size 12 shoe, and I bought an XL which fits good. I have an old pair of ice grippers that have a totally different (non cleat) design that I'm replacing. They lasted for several years. I hope the cleat style lasts as long.Update: I've had this product for about a week and I've already lost two Cleat/Spikes. I've changed my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars.

They fell off at the end of a Fourteener. I guess I wasn't paying enough attention, because I didn't look at them for 15 minutes and then they were gone. Crampons should be able to be left on boots without worry, this is an inferior product.

I don't know why but these shouldn't have any ratings for warmth and sheerness, only thickness. I bought them to put on my husband's shoes and they work great. They did snug up his shoes but after being on for awhile, the shoes seemed fine again

These fit well and hold up. The spikes are not too long...which is a plus in the event one needs to step inside some place. You won't lose your footing inside or outside, and they're less apt to damage a floor. Great footing on ice!
