I always order these ones. They do strength out over time, but they don’t ever break on me. And they are decently gentle on my hair.

No Hair Breakage, Excellent Quality, Perfect Color For Blondes
The blonde Goody Ouchless Elastic Hair Ties live up to their name. They really are slide-proof and pain-free, but more importantly, they do not break off strands of hair while using them. I particularly like how well they are made. The joints are fused well, and the elasticity seems to last forever so they hardly ever fail. A package of 32 will last me years since I use the same one over and over again until it goes missing. Goody is right on the mark with the two colors of blonde color fabric covering for the elastic. The ties blend right in with hair becoming almost invisible. They are the best elastic hair ties on the market.
