A great book to have in the house if you like chess and want to play with your kid

My Grandson enjoyed it. Very helpful and interesting.

I thought used book will be very old and folded pages or markings, but this way as good as new. Great buy.

will not recommend this book, at least, in 2011 edition. We started to read it, but it is almost impossible to track the flow of moves. Very bad format. Moves are written withing the text, which makes extremely hard to follow. Please separate moves from comments.

Its a lovely book for beginners who've just taken that step beyond knowing all the rules... it's like placing a world map before a traveller and saying ok here are all the places you can go to and now choose... It gives kids an idea to how to answer their 'now what' when all pieces are set... I would recommend kids go through the entire book -- get the first few moves of each of the openings then very easy to understand what a repertoire is and build their own... Super book
