This item seems to fulfill its description. Having said that, it’s my first steam mop so I have nothing to compare it to. I was going back and forth trying to decide between this one and a Bissel but for the difference in price and the positive reviews I read on various sites, I felt it was worth giving it try. So far, I’m pleased with my decision but as far as it’s quality in longevity, only time will tell. Other reviews complain about the cord being too short. Quite honestly, it’s all relative depending on how large the area is your cleaning. Even if the cord is another 5’ or 10’ longer it still won’t reach if you’re trying to cover 5000 square feet for example without having to unplug it. You do have to lay the mop flat to pour in the water which I didn’t find to be a big deal but could be challenging for someone who perhaps has back issues. Having said that, it’s light enough to lift up and perhaps lay it flat on the countertop to be able to pour the water in. I was quite pleasantly surprised how quickly the steam mop heats up and is ready to go in just seconds. Now, for my complaint. Although the steam mop comes with two cleaning pads, the company doesn’t offer their own original pads for purchase. You have to purchase from a third party who’s pads have Velcro on them which if you look closely, don’t line up with the Velcro on the bottom of the steam mop (mop has 6 strips, after market pads have 5). The original pads don't even have strips of Velcro on them because the side that attaches seems to be on big piece of Velcro. All in all, I wouldn't let that be discouraging from purchasing this steam mop, just simply launder the pads it comes with more often.
