Amazing Figure! Scales well with other NECA 7 inch scale figures. The last picture is the size comparison and this Jason is accurate he’s really huge in the Freddy vs Jason movie.

It seems that Jason's look from Freddy vs Jason has become the standard since the movie released. From his appearance in MKX to all kinds of merchandise, Jason has often defaulted to this appearance. For good reason, it's a great design. I've been anticipating this release for awhile. I'm so glad NECA got to squeeze this figure out before the F13 shut the line down. So how is the figure? Let's take a look. Sculpt: This sculpt is EXCELLENT. Jason's clothes look so ratty and torn up. There's holes, tears, and rips everywhere. You can even see the lining of the jacket in some areas, notably on the lower arms and his lower back. Everywhere is coated in rough textures too. This really does sell that Jason's attire is seemingly pretty old. And of course, there's the facesculpt. The sculpt is particularly gruesome, seemingly taking most of it's cues from Part 4's Jason. Once again, you can see that Jason retains that ax scar from Part 3. At least, I think that's what that crease on his forehead is. If so, good on them for keeping that bit of continuity for so long. Jason may change looks a lot, but he'll never fully heal that wound. Other notable features of the sculpt is the small clump of hair growing on the side of his head and a nasty looking set of creases that give the back of his head a lumpy look. I'm not sure if those are also scars or what but it adds to the sculpt a lot. One more thing to note is that Jason's expression is pretty appropriate. He looks angry but there's a hint of sadness to those eyes. Paint: Paint is mostly good. It looks really clean all in all. Well, it's clean in that there's little paint bleeding from the edges. The outfit itself is appropriately dirty looking with a couple of paint washes to really give it that lived in look. One problem is that his shirt (or rather the shirt over the blue undershirt) had a really bad paint problem. The gray paint on top of the shirt came off in this rubbery-like film. I don't know what this film was. Maybe something to add texture? Either way, the shirt is notably more black without this film on. It almost matches the color of the pants now and it does look a little smoother. I'm not sure why this happened but it did. I have no idea if this is a common problem or if I just got a bad figure? The figure doesn't look bad without it at least so I can live with it. Still, be warned that this can happen. Scale: Jason is MASSIVE. If you own a NECA Predator, he's not as wide as them but he's just as tall. This is appropriate since Jason in this movie was made to be MASSIVE. This is the tallest 1:10 scale Jason by a good margin. This is partially thanks to the big Frankenstein like boots he's wearing but even without those, he'd still be a big bulky figure. I want Jason to be the tallest slasher in my collection so I definitely think this is perfect. Articulation: Jason has mostly standard NECA articulation. If you've ever owned a NECA figure, there aren't many surprises here. I'm a little disappointed he has standard balljointed hands rather than the nice import style wrist joints they used for remake Jason and 2018 Michael Myers but they still function well as is. He does have the nice ankle pivot joints both of those figures have, though! That's really nice. All of the joints have good range, especially the head. Since this figure doesn't have interchangeable heads, NECA decided to give Jason the older style neck joints they recently used on the Ultimate classic Pennywise and used on their old Terminator line. This means the head and neck get a lot of range looking side to side and downwards. So you can get that perfect Voorhees head tilt. It's a good thing he can look down a lot too since he's gonna be doing it a lot. Helping him look down is the terrific ab and waist joints. He can crunch downward a good bit. NECA cleverly sculpted only the visible front half of the shirt. They then glued the front half of the shirt to the jacket. The look is completely seamless and this means that there's no sculpting that limits the articulation. Only unfortunate thing is that his hips are pretty loose. This is a recurring problem with Jason figures and I'm not sure why that's the case here. This is an entirely new mold so I think they could have fixed this issue. Accessories: Jason didn't have many weapons in Freddy vs Jason so keep that in mind with the accessory count. Jason has a bloody machete, a clean machete, his teddy bear, a flame effect for the machetes, and three hockey masks! That's right, three hockey masks. One is clean, one is completely SOAKED in blood, and the last one is covered in dirt and is scratched up. All three masks look great. I'm not sure which I'm going to display him with they all look good. The flame effect just slips onto the machetes cleanly with little issues and it looks great. The teddy bear wasn't even in the movie (it was in a promo shot and a deleted scene) but they included it anyway. It's detailed with the appropriate tears and fluffy furry texture. He can even hold it in his open hand. Speaking of hands, maybe he could have used some extras? Maybe an open hand for his right arm? An extra open hand that isn't sculpted at an angle like his regular open hand or a perhaps even a fist? I just want NECA's Jasons to come with some alternate hands, really. The 2018 Michael Myers was PACKED with hands and I want some of those options for Jason. Overall: I've had some problems with this figure but the articulation and detail is just so good, I can't help but love it. This is the best Jason NECA has released. I'd say FvJ Jason, Part 4 Jason, Remake Jason, and the recently released Roy are the absolute best ones. If you want a Jason, I'd say pick from these. You could probably interchange Part 4 Jason with Part 3 or Part 6 since they're so similar in terms of body but if you ask me, Part 4 has the best sculpt, paint, and accessories of the three of them. Anyway, pick this Jason up. You won't regret it.

To be honest, the item was even nicer in person, the box is great!! I have taken Jason out of the box, but preserved everything that came with the box since its so pretty and high quality!
