In my review, I also warned readers that when I attempted to remove a sticker from a lovely wall shelf, it took the finish completely off, so I feared it would ruin the carpet. However, I happened to have a piece of carpet. I sprayed a bit of red paint on it, let it dry and then tried Goof-Off. It did not damage the carpet but it did not remove the red paint at all. I would try rubbing some paint thinner on the spot with a stiff brush, followed by some soapy water on a sponge. This has worked for me in the past. **Q: use on glass?** A: Does it work to remove "mirror" paint/paper from glass? **Q: can this be used to remove a ink mark from a leather sofa. thank you** A: I don’t know. I bought it to get acrylic paint off my leather sofa and it didn’t work. It smells really bad.
