This inch is included in width size above when I measured the pieces. First time commenting on here i would love to include pics but i do not know how to do so.Also they include 4 small screws to screw the 4 cups into the wall. You can use it without screwing them but seems more stable with doing so.Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more info. **Q: Can you use the gate without the wall cups screwed to the wall?** A: Yes, I use mine just pressure mounted - nothing screwed into the wall. It works fine, although if you bump it, it can move slightly, so it has to be adjusted when that happens. I've had one for a few years and bought a second one several months ago cuz I like it so much. I have them on either side of our kitchen to keep our little dogs contained when we leave the house. They work great. :-) **Q: will the gate be able to adjust to 48 inches exactly and also does it have to be screwed into the wall** A: The gate will barely adjust to 48 inches. There is a wide range that it will not fit, from about 43 inches almost to 48 inches. **Q: what is the gate opening size?. Can I get a walker through it** A: No it will not. The opening is only 16" and the smallest walker allowed for medical use is 22.5". There is also a bar that extends axroos the bottom opening that would be a major tripping hazard. Not to mention that while this a great for babies and small dogs any substantial pressure from the front or back will cause the gate to collapse as it is just pressure mounted. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent *by O***S on 9 March 2024* Excellent product! Recomiendo 10/10. ## Frequently Bought Together - Regalo Easy Open 47-Inch Super Wide Walk Thru Baby Gate, Bonus Kit, Includes 4-Inch and 12-Inch Extension Kit, 4 Pack Pressure Mount Kit and 4 Wall Cups and Mounting Kit , 11 Count (Pack of 1) - Wall Nanny - Baby Gate Wall Protector (Made in USA) Protect Walls from Pet Gates & Dog Gates - No Safety Hazard on Spindles - for Child Pressure Mounted Baby Gate for Stairs Cup Guard - White, 4 Pack - Regalo Easy Step 38.5-Inch Wide Walk Thru Baby Gate, Includes 6-Inch Extension Kit, Pressure Mount Kit, Wall Cups --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/255250487-regalo-extra-wide-baby-gate-73-7-119-4cm-doorways](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/255250487-regalo-extra-wide-baby-gate-73-7-119-4cm-doorways) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
