Q: Is this a cleanser? and can I use it on my whole face?

Yes, it is a cleanser. It can be drying but it is great. Be sure you use a white towel if you use it at the sink (peroxide bleaches).

Q: Did this make anyone's skin red? I know benzoyl peroxide is known to cause a sunburn affect.

I have not known it to cause redness on my skin. But, when going out, it is recommended that you use an spf 30 sunscreen. Even if it's not sunny outside.

Q: I just purchased. Does it suppose to lather?

No lather. Also instructions say to wash face before hand. Then put Harris benzoyl on for at least 20 seconds. Let it rest on face 20-30 seconds, then rinse.
