How do you open the little jar of eyeshadow?

I love the answer that KW gave. It was extremely helpful. 1) I held the black part in my non dominant hand (my left hand is the one that will hold the container steady). 2) I am right hand dominant, I twisted the glass part of the container counter clockwise… and it did not budge. 3) I then gently (yet firmly) tapped the container on the counter in about three to four places all around the container (striking both areas where black lid connect with glass container). 4) Tried step 1 & 2 again, and viola!, it opened! As for the brush, it did not slide out when the cap was on the container. It wasn’t until after the cap was off, I used the pad of my thumb to push the applicator with the ridges away from the rest of the cap, and it came off.

What colors are matte?

The chocolate and tuxedo are matte, the espresso is very slightly shimmery and lighter colored than the chocolate, the black current is very shimmery and more of a silver color than a purple. The others I haven't tried but I would guess they are probably more on the shimmery side.

Why is the product $10 more than in any of the stores???

Honestly, WHERE are you finding this product for less? First of all - the product here is LESS THAN $6! How can it be $10 less somewhere else? Are they paying you to take it? Seriously, do the 2nd grade math and rethink your questions.
