The Philips Portable CD Player Boombox is a nice small unit capable of playing CDs, Cassette Tapes, MP3s, and it has a FM radio. The clarity is good and the speakers are reasonable for this unit. The quality of the build is good and the controls easy to use. It plays my CDs and old Cassette tapes well, so for its price I am well pleases. I would recommend this unit; I have it out in my garage/shop and it does what I want it to do without breaking the bank. made

I needed a small CD player in my bedroom to play soothing music so I can sleep. This is just perfect and it has a repeat and repeat all selection! I love it!

The first one we ordered we had to return. The Cd quality was good but the tape playback was awful. Unlistenable. Radio was ok. We got a replacement. It looked better. Newer. Maybe our first one had been a return from another customer? We’ve kept the replacement, as the tape playback, although not as good as Cd is at least decent and good enough. Cd playback is very nice and radio works fine. Hard to find such multi-function players these days for a good price. This is good once you get a workable one. Amazon is great re: returns and replacements, so it wasn’t that bad to have to try two before we were satisfied.

Product died after only 6 months of occasional use. No warranty after 30 days and no return either. Even when it worked, the sound was tin-y. Should have been better for the price. Do not buy this piece of junk.

My mother is 90 years old now, and she loves music -- and has a large CD collection from over the decades. When her last player finally wore out from heavy use, I checked Amazon for a replacement. This looked and sounded perfect; and when it arrived, it exceeded expectations. The sound quality is outstanding. It's perfect for mom's bedside table, where she plays it constantly. It's easy to use, takes up a very reasonable amount of space (the small table still has plenty of room for other items on it), and it's extremely lightweight -- and has a nice handle -- if we want to move it to another room. We have had this for two months now, and mom could not be more pleased with it!

Look, it's not great, but it's decent for the price. The sound quality above a certain threshold is grainy and not great, but below that it's fine. I had to do the ole knock once on it to stop some rattling, but once I did that, it was perfectly fine. I have currently only tried a CD, but it functions as intended.

I have always liked Philip's products. This box sounds great and it is what I expected.

This was a last-minute Christmas gift for my husband. He likes to have something to play his old cassette tapes and cd's &/ or listen to the radio, in the garage. I didn't want to spend a lot on it as it is pretty hot or cold, not to mention dusty, out there. The order arrived in just a few days, it was packaged well, and it is easy to operate. It also came with a booklet so it was easy to get going. For the price this is great quality and works well. He's been happy with it.

Overall a great experience. Sound quality is great for both CD and Cassette. Since it's a good quality it also plays some audio cassettes that had issues playing in my walkman, so am happy to have this player. Please note to use a step down transformer of 220/240V to 120V(you can definitely get it on amazon, I had got one earlier from Amazon 12 years ago and it is still good). There was a delay in delivery by the seller but they called me and provided excellent updates on when I will receive it since it is imported from US, it takes time, but patience pays. Overall I am happy with the purchase, again do use a step down transformer for this player, it's a good one!

Thanks for selling this product, my dad was looking for this particular product for a while as he loves playing his old cassettes om this and comes cd and usb play. Perfect gift :)

Gran producto, llegó a tiempo, el empaque no estaba dañado, es pequeña, tiene puerto usb para colocar una memoria y escuchar la música mp3, pero también acepta los discos mp3, no tiene mucha potencia de volumen, pero es ideal el sonido, recomendado ampliamente.

Todo funcionó correctamente,la claridad del sonido es buena,los Cd’s mezclados los toca sin cortar las pistas,otros boombox las cortan y no se aprecia bien un CD mezclado. La cassettera no se comió las cintas (por fin) algo que fallaba en otros boombox PERO,en la descripción dice que el AUDIO-IN sirve para conectar otros dispositivos y auriculares pero con estos no funciona por lo que esta mal indicado,debería decir AUX IN,esa entrada no me sirvió pues quería conectarla a otro boombox para que el volumen sea mal alto,pues el de este Philips es bajo o limitado aún en su nivel más"alto".Ni si quiera el botón Dynamic bass boost ayuda en nada,no da poténcia,solo suaviza.
