I purchased a similar item and the ball cracked after a few swings. is the ball strong enough to withstand the beating from a club? ball?

I have hit mine a few thousand times. The ball has changed shape slightly and is looser on the shaft but still working perfectly. I expected that parts to wear out and bought a spare ball assembly but hasn't had to use it yet.

I meant "how high is it from the ground you are standing on to the bottom of the ball, as it sits on the mat"? looks like more than 1 inch.
