I was having a problem with bees swarming the feeder and chasing the hummingbirds away. I "googled" it for a solution. I read that the bees are attracted to the color red while the birds are attracted by yellow. So I ditched the red nectar for this clear nectar. Low and behold... the birds seem to love this! They stay at the feeder for much longer than usual and drink this nectar with no hesitation. Try this with your birds and see what a difference it makes.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the delivery person did not leave the package in front of my door so I would ruin it when I opened it and he did ring the doorbell all of the above. I asked to be done so I say kudos to him.As for Perky Pet Hummingbird nectar it’s great, we use it alot

This is my second time purchasing this bag of hummingbird food, I like that it's simple and easy to make and comes with instructions and makes a good amount and lasts a long time before having to repurchase however this batch I think might be bad, the color the last bag I purchased produced a vibrant red this one is quite purple I've made a few different batches now and it's purple every single time I'm not sure if this is just a quality issue if this is normal or not but the hummingbirds don't seem to like it.

Hummingbirds love it. Followed the instructions. Used a cocktail stirrer to mix it. Dissolved within 2 mins of constant stirring. Highly recommend.

Okay this Perky‑Pet Instant Hummingbird Nectar is honestly such a steal. A 2lb bag making 192 oz of nectar for this price on Amazon? Bestie… that’s basically hummingbird gold. My boyfriend’s hummingbirds would go feral for this. The powder mixes super easily, but you do have to stir it a lot to get it fully dissolved — like mini arm‑workout energy. Once it’s mixed though, it’s perfect: bright red, sweet, and the birds show up like they got a group chat notification. Overall: amazing deal, great quality, no boiling needed, just wish it dissolved a tiny bit faster. Still a 5/5 because the hummers don’t complain.

I bought this because of the reviews and the price. Ive been feeding hummingbirds for years. Very meticulous with keeping my feeders clean and nectar fresh. Its part of my nightly chore routine. As you know, hummingbirds won't feed on soured nectar or dirty feeders. Nectar sours quickly in the desert high temps so its a daily clean and change. But, they came to feed as they always do but the minute they fed on this, they stopped immediately and flew away. The hummingbirds have come to rely on my feeders out here in the desert. They hover now but wont go to the feeders after the first try. I feel bad, gonna switch back to what I was using...Maybe they were just used to the old nectar.

Obviously, my opinion of this product is not important. The only way to know is to watch the hummingbirds, and, compared to sugar water, they definitely give this 5 stars. I know everyone says the liquid shouldn't be dyed red, but the bird definitely did not get that memo.

The contents of the bag appears to be enjoyed by hummingbirds after only one day after hanging the feeder. It is convenient to use the mix—just measure the right amount and add water. And the birds like it.
