Like all eight knives in the Paraframe series, the Paraframe I is based on the same minimal frame-lock design. It's a beautifully simple, open frame knife with a serrated locking blade that is lightweight, easy to clean and opens effortlessly. Built with a smooth stainless steel handle and a clip for secure travel, the Paraframe I is everything that an everyday carry folder should be. Wow no! Dangerous.
This should be took off the market ASAP. The retainer screw for the joint sheered off on day 1 resulting in blade detachment. Right off the bat it was hard to unlock, stiff blade, the blade itself is super cheap steel with a horribly honed edge. Garbage knife, This is not Gerber that I used to know. Not to mention that any sideways pressure and the screw head will sheet off and blade will just fall out on you. What clowns designed this? Have Gerber been taken over?

Took me a while to close it, but…
Good quality knife, although it took me a while to find out how to close it.Where the blade goes into the main body of the knife, there is a locking mechanism which has to be pushed over to the side, in order for you to be able to push blade home. See attached video.

Disappointing
The skeleton frame makes it harder to hold and combined with the polished metal, it's a little slippy in the hand. The nub used for opening the blade is too near pivot point at the top of the handle, making it quite difficult to open. It really does not want to open easily. I advise going for a handle that is not polished metal, or has a skeleton frame.

Fantastic Folding Knife
For around £20 this is an absolute bargain. If lost it's not a heartache to replace. It's also a very aesthetically pleasing knife. Most complaints I see are about the locking frame, the thumb assists not being useful and the opening mechanism being too hard to open. The locking frame wasn't my favourite type of locking mechanism at first but once you get used to it it's very easy and becomes almost natural to unlock it.As you can see in the video, the opening is as smooth as butter and the thumb assist really helps with the opening. The first problem people face is they say it's too hard to open comfortably. To remedy this all it takes is a dab of grease and maybe even adjusting the pivot screw for the bearing. A 2 minute solution, easy as pie. Once this becomes smooth the thumb assists become useful. It came surprisingly sharp, being able to shave hair off my forearm. In saying that it could still use a finishing sharpen. It's very rigid too and doesn't flex which surprised me.

Sturdy knife, dull blade
To be honest I’m disappointed with how dull the blade was out the box. Spent a good 20 mins sharpening it and it’s still not that sharp. It does feel solid, little hard to open one handed and even harder to close, but it locks very solidly in place once open and doesn’t move. Not bad for £20, just wish it wasn’t so blunt.
