Patriot Exhaust H1080 80" Chrome Side Exhaust

I purchased these sidepipes for installation on my Astronomy Mobile Outreach Vehicle (AMOV), which is a 1993 Ford Econoline Van. The first set arrived damaged in transit, and Amazon sent another set immediately, and arranged to pick up the damaged set at no cost to me. Kudos to Amazon with their excellent customer support.These sidepipes are very well made. They have a beautiful, chromed finish that is a real testament to their quality. The fit of all parts was perfect, and assembly was a breeze. I took these sidepipes to a local exhaust installer to have them mounted and connected on the van. The question was, "How do they sound"? Well, the sound was very pleasing. The sidepipes have a deep, throaty rumble that says "Power". They are not too loud, but loud enough to make people notice that these sidepipes are not for show, these sidepipes are set for "Go". I also noticed an increase in power and performance with the free flowing exhaust design of sidepipes. I also logged a small increase in MPG on the van, which would be expected with reduced exhaust back pressure.I definitely recommend these sidepipes to anyone considering them for their custom or performance vehicle.

I am totally impressed with the sound these pipes make ! The brackets really need to be looked at, as the top hole is useless because the bolt that screws to the bottom of vehicle is in the middle of this hole, rendering it useless. The pipes look great but in my opinion are designed backwards, as the end of an exhaust pipe should always go into the beginning of the next pipe. These pipes get assembled from out to in. All in all, they look great on my car & turn heads any time I start my car or drive by someone.

Awesome! Looks cool with great quality, easy installation and a great sound. I would definitely purchase again and recommend to anyone. The price is competitive with a standard exhaust system and much easier to install.

Amazon had the best price and shipped quickly. No problem with the install. The chrome finish on the heat shield is very thin and has already begun to flake off. I do not expect the finish to last very long on this pipes. I wish they were available in stainless steel. Until then I will do the best I can to preserve their appearance. Just don't expect them to look good for very long on a vehicle that is used regularly.

Ran them a few years and the fiberglass came lose in the muffler causing a major restriction.

I just installed these on my ls swapped 86 GMC G2500. I only gave these 2 stars do to the look. If it didn't look good it would only have gotten 1 star. The muffler goes from a 3 inch pipe down to a 1 1/2 to a 2 inch Baffled/pipe. . Which in return made me actually lose some low end power/torque. I feel it should at least be 3 inch to no lower then 2.5 inch. Honestly if it wasn't for me having a little girl on the way. I would grind the tack welds on the inside and gut it and put some 3 inch inlet outlet glass packs on. Or just gut it and buy the center piece for the glass packs and install that and repack it.

Pipes look great but the mounting hardware is inferior. Retaining bolts broke off in one day. Customer service is sorely lacking as well as I received no response when I brought this to the company’s attention.

Crome started to peel off while installing
