Just what I needed
Was looking for fire detection in my garage to be linked with smoke detectors in the house. Works great. A must as lots of fires start in a garage.

This is a good, dependable product
This is a good product, easy to install works as a stand alone unit or connected to a combination of Kidde smoke/carbon monoxide detectors or Kidde heat detectors. The only thing that was unusual was that when I pulled the yellow vinyl strip out to activate the battery I did not realize there was more to it. The heat detectors chirped about once every sixty seconds. The problem was that Kidde installs the battery backwards so the unit is not activated even after the yellow strip is pulled out. Make sure the battery is turned around so the battery terminals face the unit's terminals.

Great for area where you cook
Works great in an area where we cook all the time and the other โsmoke detector โ was constantly going off. Easy to install

Working well for a year now.
Have been in over a year and work fine. Have actually gone off when there was just a bit of smoke. I have this tied in with two others and they all go off as they're supposed to when one does.
